In the summer of 2015, we visited a survivor of the camp’s hell – Krum Horozov, who lives in the town of Rousse.
He was born in 1925 in the village of Letnitsa, Lovech District. He was detained, while he was a student in the specialty of Land Surveying, and was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment. He did 11 years in prison, one of which -1954-1955, he spent in exile at the Second Site of the Belene Camp. He is now known as “the man who drew the camps”, since there are no photographs left from the communist camps in Bulgaria.
